ABOUT THE ARTIST: Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Born in 1940 in the village of Kolyvan, Altai Territory. In 1965 he graduated from the Odessa Art College. In 1969 - Kiev State Art Institute. He worked as a drawing teacher at the Berdyansk Pedagogical Institute, a children's art school. Since 2005, Gennady Andreevich has been living and working in Ilyichevsk. Worked as an artist of the Berdyansk branch of the Zaporozhye Art and Advertising Plant since 1976, was a participant in city, regional and republican exhibitions. He actively worked in easel and monumental decorative art: diorama and painting, marquetry and carving… But the main love is, of course, painting. Shelepkov's Altai cycle was constantly updated with new paintings. Every summer, the artist visits his homeland and brings fresh sketches on which beautiful meadows, lakes, mountains appear ("Saushko Lake. Altai". Now he paints flowers more and more often. But before he preferred landscapes (at the exhibition you can see sunny views of Odessa and Bulgaria – “Descent near the opera house”, “Street in Gabrovo”, “Entrance to the monastery”) and portraits made in a soft realistic manner (“Portrait of a daughter”, “Immersed in thought”) Works in the field of painting and also in monumental art Works are in many public and private collections.
