ABOUT THE ARTIST: Khmelnitsky Alexander Anatolyevich was born on August 2, 1924 in Kharkov. From 1947 to 1953 he studied at the Kharkov State Art Institute under A. Lyubimsky, M. Rybalchenko, P. Kotov, L. Chernov, M. Shaposhnikov. After graduation, Khmelnitsky A.A. taught at the KhGKhI. In 1956 he was admitted to the Kharkov organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, where in 1972-1976 and in 1981-1998 he was the chairman of the painting section. Since 1951 Khmelnitsky A.A. - a constant participant in republican, all-union and foreign art exhibitions. The artist's works are in museums, galleries, private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist died on June 5, 1998 in Kharkov.
